Uranium Supply Analysis System

After many years of following and analyzing the uranium market, combined with hands-on operations experience, NAC developed the Uranium Supply Analysis (USA) System. This Microsoft Windows application generates reports from a database containing technical and financial information on more than 130 worldwide production centers. The system integrates geotechnical parameters, financial estimates and contractual commitments with demand data for a variety of applications--ranging from individual producer cash flows to U3O8 price trend projections.

The cornerstone of the USA System is a database containing technical and financial information on the world's most important operating, planned and potential uranium production centers. The database is updated annually with current information on worldwide uranium production and demand, allowing System users to conduct detailed analyses of the uranium market. In addition to providing a means of analyzing the information contained in the NAC supplied database, the USA System allows the user to modify the database to account for new technical and financial information on uranium production centers and to conduct analyses using this new information.

The USA System has a broad range of uses:

  • Uranium producers: to determine the impact of changes, in both capital and operating costs and production levels, on the overall competitiveness of uranium production centers and to conduct project acquisition evaluations.
  • Uranium buyers: to evaluate contracts and bids and to develop uranium procurement strategies.
  • Market analysts: to analyze the relative competitiveness of production centers, assess potential market share for specific production centers and project market prices. They also use NAC's U3O8 Status Report in conjunction with the USA System, to establish production and marketing plans and to identify potential uranium buyers.

The USA System includes software, data in the form of a database, a user manual and a cash flow book.
