Comprehensive Independent Assessment of GNF-A P8 Cladding
On behalf of an international group of BWR utilities, NAC Stoller is
performing an comprehensive independent assessment of Global Nuclear Fuel-Americas'
new P8 cladding material. The review includes:
 |
Similarities and differences
between P8 and earlier cladding materials, manufacturing processes,
etc. |
 |
The nature of the changes
from earlier designs and the bases for these changes |
 |
Experimental and in-reactor
performance |
 |
Qualification program |
 |
Compatibility with BWR water
chemistry |
 |
Expected performance under
actual operating conditions |
Participation in the program is still open to utilities operating BWRs.
