Nuclear Materials Management & Safeguards System (NMMSS)

NAC manages the Department of Energy's Nuclear Materials Management & Safeguards System (NMMSS). NMMSS is the U.S. government's information system containing current and historic data on the possession, use and shipment of nuclear materials. This centralized data base contains information collected from government and commercial nuclear facilities and provides output reports to those facilities and other interested parties, primarily U.S. government offices charged with the management and safeguarding of nuclear materials.
