Fuel-Trac: Spent Nuclear Fuel Database

NAC analysts and consultants are available to provide customized reports and interpretation from this database per client specifications.

Reactor discharges from the fuel cycle plan database serve as the starting point for the Fuel-Trac spent fuel section of the database. Spent fuel is tracked by owner, location, form, quantity and transaction date.

The spent nuclear fuel database is an engineering model of the fuel cycle that tracks the discharge, shipment and reprocessing of nuclear fuel as well as the disposition of plutonium separated by reprocessing operations.

Because the spent fuel database models operations at the site and facility levels, it is possible to estimate total nuclear material inventories of spent fuel and separated plutonium at individual sites within a country.

Items tracked include the following:

  • Spent Fuel Assemblies
